SWANSBORO  -   Elizabeth "Betty" Armstrong, 86, of Swansboro, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Landings of Swansboro.  A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Armstrong was born January 25,1938 in Ashburn, VA to the late Charles Carlin and Era Francis Bryant Kirkpatrick, Sr.

She worked in civil service In the human relations department and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller Armstrong; stepdaughter, Susan Keyes; and a brother, Carlin Kirkpatrick.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Watterson (Jerry) of Swansboro and Lyn Hassinger (Rob) of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Eryn Ortiz, Ryan Watterson (Ashley), Haley Smith (Craig), Casey Hassinger, and Shauna Keyes; and a son-in-law, Gene Keyes of MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
