SNEADS FERRY  -  Evelyn Leary Chaney, 68, of Sneads Ferry, died Monday, March 11, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington, NC. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Verona Baptist Church.

Mrs. Chaney was born on October 21, 1955 in Jacksonville to the late Wilson Leary and Vistula Ottaway Leary.

She is survived by her children, Tamika Marshburn of Sneads Ferry and Kevin Chaney of New Bern; sister, Linda Hernandez of Verona; grandchildren, Nichole Carr, Tyler Liverman, Justin Liverman, Aaron Liverman, Dallas Liverman, Mackinzie Chaney, Lillian Chaney, Cayden Hobbs, Cayden White, Keagen Chaney and Trisen Chaney; great-grandchildren, Aurbry Liverman and Paizlea Liverman and several extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jones Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
