RICHLANDS  -  Haywood Lee Batchelor, 79, went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 2:00pm at Tar Landing Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Marshburn officiating, and the family has asked that those attending honor Haywood by wearing a baseball cap.  Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Heath; and a brother, Prentice Whaley. He was raised by Matthew and Marinda Marshburn.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Batchelor of the home; sons, Larry Jones and wife, Anita, Jeffrey Jones and wife, Velisa and Russell Jones and wife, Erica; daughters, Stephanie Pierce and husband, Billy and Henrietta Deal and husband, Joey; sister, Faye Weston; grandchildren, Bailey, Millicent, Pansy, James, Logan, Colby, Chris, Brittany, Morgan, Marley, Kelsey and Joseph and three great-grandchildren.

Our family wishes to thank all the staff at Premier Nursing Home who provided care for "Papa" while we could not. Your kindness will not be forgotten
