HUBERT  -  John Council Rochelle, 84, of Hubert, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel with Ed Brown officiating.

He was born in Onslow County, NC on August 18,1939 a son of the late Walter and Sudie Millender Rochelle.  He was self-employed and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by six brothers; and seven sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa G. Rochelle of the home; son, Joshua Rochelle of Hubert; daughters, Valerie Rochelle and Jessica Rochelle and her husband, Jeremy Denny, all of Hubert; and grandchildren, Piper and Sophie Rochelle, and Emma Denny.

The family will receive friends Sunday, prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
