JACKSONVILLE  -  Lawrence Wayne Stewart, 76, of Jacksonville, died June 25, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Infant of Prague Catholic Church with Rev. Jeffrey Bowker officiating.  Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park. There will also be a Memorial Funeral Mass on November 7th at 10:00 AM at Saint Benedict Catholic Church in Terre Haute, IN.

Mr. Stewart was a loving and honorable husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.  He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Mother Theodore Guerin council 541, and was retired from Alcan Aluminum, both of Terre Haute.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne J. Stewart and Dorothy Hagan Stewart, sister, Elizabeth Yocum and brother, Richard Stewart.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Patrick Stewart of the home; three sons, Larry Stewart and wife Colleen of Jacksonville, Patrick Stewart and wife Jeri, of Flat Rock, IN, Edward Stewart and wife Donna, of Terre Haute, IN; two daughters, Donna Ray and husband Les, of West Terre Haute, IN, Diana Beeghly and husband Brian, of Terre Haute, IN; Sister, Judith McDaniel of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to OpLAMB of NC Inc. and mailed to P.O. Box 7241, Jacksonville NC, 28540 or dropped off at the funeral services.
