Linda H
Weidow
December 8, 1960 – December 18, 2017
Linda Weidow, a devoted wife, proud mother, and adoring grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 18, 2017 in Jacksonville, NC. Lin lived a life fully dedicated to serving others with compassion, tough love, and a warm heart. She was devoted to her husband of 36 years, Bill Weidow (USMC retired). She was incredibly proud and close to her daughter Jenny. The joy of her life in recent years were her two beautiful granddaughters, Malia and McKenna. But perhaps her most remarkable contribution to this life was the dedication, love, and encouragement she gave to hundreds of Wounded Warriors she helped through rehabilitation and seemingly insurmountable life challenges. In the last few weeks, countless Marines, Sailors, and friends have called, written, and come to Jacksonville, NC to tell their story of how she helped pull them through unimaginably difficult periods in their lives. Her family, friends, and the Marine Corps will miss her more than can be described. She was also survived by her Father, John Williams, and Mother, Molly Williams, a sister Laurie Taylor, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
A Celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13th at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, 1985 Gum Branch Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540
