Marcia Elaine Huguenel, 71, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away on January 9, 2024. She was born to Malcolm Crittenden and Edith "Peggy" Crittenden, on November 7, 1952, in Wellsville, NY.

She graduated from Whitesville Central School in 1970 and attended Houghton Bible College.

Prior to her diagnosis of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), Marcia was an active member of Victory Baptist Church and volunteered at Jacksonville Christian Academy in her daughter's classroom in Jacksonville, NC. Marcia enjoyed playing piano and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her work at Food Lion where she brightened everyone's day with her beautiful smile and kind words.

Marcia was married to Robert "Bob" Huguenel on May 17, 1999, in Honolulu, HI.

Marcia is survived by her children: Melanie Doerr (Randy), Melinda Dunham (Jason), Sara Carter (Jeremy); Step-children: Brian Claire, Belinda Connors (Michael); Grandchildren: Megan and Brandon Doerr, Savannah and Sadie Dunham, Jared (Jessica) and James Chandler, Jayden Beckwith, and John Conners

In addition to her parents, Malcolm and Edith "Peggy" Crittenden, she was predeceased by her spouse, Robert "Bob" Huguenel and brother-in-law Leo Coleman.

The family has entrusted Jones Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Memorial Service is scheduled for January 15, 2024 at 3:00 p.m at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, NC. Reverend Damon Lee will officiate the ceremony.
