Sneads Ferry, NC – Marilyn Jeanette Pope, 81, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Onslow Memorial Hospital.  She worked for many years at Barnacle Bill's Fishing Pier and at Molly's Restaurant in Surf City.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am at The Gathering Church in Surf City.  Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vee and Lucy Criswell; husband, Stephen Pope; son, Glenn Pope and a brother, Kenneth Criswell.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Allen of Holly Ridge; brother, Billy Criswell of Blytheville, AR; grandchildren, Ryan Pope, Kayla Pope, Rachel Pope, Samantha Pope and a great grandson, Dean Falkinburg and her daughter-in-law, Diana Pope.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Jones Funeral Home, Holly Ridge.
