Mark Stewart Raynor of Jacksonville, North Carolina died peacefully at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, North Carolina on Saturday, September 11, 2021 after a long and well fought battle with cancer.

Mark was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on September 14, 1961 a son to Willie Carroll (Billy) and Dolores Lanier Raynor. Mark lived his entire life in the Jacksonville area and was an accomplished carpenter, working alongside his father and grandfather for many years. Prior to his illness, Mark enjoyed gardening, fishing, and enjoying the fruits of his labors.
Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie and Verdie Raynor, maternal grandparents, Woodrow (Pete) and Christine Parker Lanier, his father, Willie Carroll (Billy) Raynor and special friend Sylvia Williams.

Left to cherish Mark's memory are his beloved son Jason Andrew Raynor of Jacksonville, North Carolina, his mother, Dolores Lanier Raynor, brothers, Stephen (Elizabeth), Brian (Becky) and sister Carroll (Ray). Nephew, Eric Merritt, nieces, Bridgette Rochelle, Kirsten Merritt, Landon Raynor and Rebecca Raynor and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Raynor Family Cemetery, 186 Raynor Avenue, Jacksonville, North Carolina with Pastor Jamie Silance officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service and other times at the home of Dolores Raynor. Pall Bearers will be, Eric Merritt, Eric Denson, Nic Lanier, Kristopher Antinori, Austin Antinori, Harlan Parker, Pat Antinori, Timmy Evans, and Robbie Lynn. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
