JACKSONVILLE  -  Nicolas "Nick" Anthony Perrault, 40, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 30, 2023.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 16, at the River of Life Church in Jacksonville.

Nicolas was born on November 23, 1983 to his father, Thornton Edward "Bud" Perrault, III and devoted mother, Marieline Danielle Perrault, on the continent of Africa on the island of Mauritius.  He was the oldest of three children to brother, Jean-Phillipe Edouard Perrault and sister, Virginia Marie Simone Perrault. He attended Silverdale Elementary School, Swansboro Middle School and Swansboro High School. He completed his GED at Coastal Carolina Community College. As a child, Nick was sweet, quiet and respectful.  Nick played football and soccer in high school. After graduating from high school, he successfully entered the workforce and held managerial positions. He loved to entertain others with jokes and impressions. He loved to laugh and never wanted anyone to feel alone or sad in his presence. Nick was raised in a household where prayer saturated the atmosphere, and he accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ into his heart when he was a young man. He loved God, regardless of his many challenges. Nick dearly loved his family and ensured that his family understood how dearly loved they were by him. Anyone who knew Nick, described him as one of the nicest guys they ever met.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thornton Edward "Bud" Perrault, III and his brother, Jean-Phillipe Edouard Perrault, both of Jacksonville, NC.

Survivors include his mother, Marieline Perrault; sister, Virginie Perrault; niece, Isabella Marie Perrault; and nephew, Jean "JJ" Anthony Perrault, all of Jacksonville, NC.

He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. His smile and sweet spirit could light up a room.
