Jacksonville, NC – Patsy O'Neil Morton, 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville with Pastor Ron Stribling officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 3:00pm to 4:00pm prior to the Celebration of Life.
After graduating from White Oak High School and then Hardbarger School of Business, she joined the work force and excelled in positions of administrations retiring from CSX Railroad in Jacksonville, FL and Onslow County Government.
Ms. Morton was a loving daughter, mother and sister. She was devoted to her children and will always be remembered for her sensitive, caring and tender spirit, always putting others before herself.
Ms. Morton was preceded in death by her parents, Cal Emmitt and Estelle Morton, her daughter, Michele Clendenin and her sister, Dorothy Mix. She is survived by her fiancé, Billy Smith; two sons, Rick Everett and James Clendenin; five grandchildren, Cory, Madelyn, Braden, D.J. and Levi along with her two sisters, Barbara Morton and Jane Ayers.
