HUBERT  -  Robert "Bob" Louis Jones, 83, of Hubert, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital, in Virginia.  A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel.

Mr. Jones was born September 2, 1940 a son to the late Louis Harold Jones and Helen Marjorie Hoskins.

He faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 30+years and retired at the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. His greatest joy was spending time building race motors and cooking. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, his faithful companion Ditch and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Jones.

Survivors include his loving wife, Polly Jones of the home; daughter, Karla Jones (Steve) of Binghamton, NY; son, Dann Jones of Conklin, NY; grandsons, Ryan (Miranda) and Cory (Dianna) Chapman; great granddaughters, Kalea and Remi Chapman; sisters, Anita Wescott (Donald) of St. Peter's, MO and Adele Madison of Endicott, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive freinds one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
