Vibeke Thomsen Werner, 65, of Beulaville, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015, at her home, surrounded by friends and family. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 11:00 am, in the Jones Funeral Home Chapel, Richlands. Chaplain Seth Jones will be officiating and her burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
Vibeke was born in Hjorong, Denmark and was the daughter of Palle Vraast Thomsen and the late Greta Betzer Thomsen. Inge Thomsen was her segregate mother. Vibeke served her country honorably with the United States Marine Corps and was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ernest Earl Werner, Sr. of the home; two sons, Ernest E. Werner, Jr. of Beulaville, NC and Christopher P. Werner and his wife, Kristina of Richlands, NC; her father, Palle V. Thomsen of Pacifica, CA; five sisters, Linda Peix, Hanni Grinrod, Paula Thomsen, Marie Costella and Karen Thomsen all of Pacifica, CA; two very special people, her grandchildren, Devin Thomas Werner and Allie Marie Werner.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home
