Hubert- Virginia Mary Howell, 83, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 with her family by her side.  She was born on February 28, 1940 in Rockville Centre, NY a daughter to the late Harry and Alice Powers McCann.

Virginia was an Elementary /Special education teacher in Pennsylvania and loved developing and helping students in becoming the best people they can be.  Her grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Noah, Grace, and Ansley, brought her the greatest joy, love, and pride any grandparent could ask for.  Her happiest time throughout her life was being surrounded by her family and friends, laughing and having fun time with one another.  She now has rejoined her husband, Ron of 39 years and will continue their love and laughter forever.

She is survived by sons, James R. Howell (Catherine) of Hubert, NC and Gregg F. Howell (Ann) of Wrightsville Beach, NC; and grandchildren: Logan, Ethan, Noah, Grace, and Ansley,  and nieces and nephews, Alecia Cleva, Ann Maureen, David Hayden and Jerome McCann.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
