JACKSONVILLE – William "Bill" Austin Parker, 81, passed peacefully at Carolina East on September 15, 2023.  A funeral service is planned for Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Frinchie Lowery officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.

Bill was married to his wife Frances Carolyn Morton Parker for 61 years.  He will be long remembered as a hardworking family man. He worked 30+ years and retired from Weyerhaeuser. Bill went on to work for and retire a second time with Barloworld and Wrenn forklift repair, all while continuing to maintain his own mechanic shop. When he was not working in his shop, he enjoyed working in their beautiful garden. Bill loved to grill out, spend time with his family and cruise on his golf cart.

William "Bill" Parker is survived by his wife, Frances Carolyn Morton Parker.  Daughter, Teresa Latham (Gary) of Jacksonville and Sandra Parker of Jacksonville. Three grandchildren, Austin Latham (Jackie), Parker Cauley, (Jenna) and the Favorite Raven, all of Jacksonville. Two beautiful great-granddaughters, Gracelynn and Carlie, and handsome great-grandson Dean.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 12:30 prior to the 2:00 funeral service.

Service will be held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville.
