Obituary

BEULAVILLE  -  Alexander “Alex” Jacob Clukey, 15, of Beulaville, North Carolina went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2022. He was born on September 4, 2006 in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Alex was a very bright, outgoing, yet humble young man who loved anything outdoors including hunting, fishing, paint ball and playing baseball. When indoors his passions included wrestling, piano, card tricks, and playing video games. He accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age and continued to grow stronger in his faith each day. The love of Christ showed through everything he did and to everyone he knew.

Alex was the best big brother to his 12 year old brother, Andrew, and his 5 year old brother, Abram. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, friends and cousins, always leading the group. Alex was a Senior Patrol Leader in his Royal Rangers chapter at our home church, Christian Life Fellowship. He took pride in leading younger boys in learning to honor God while also learning survival skills, first aid and safety.

Alex was academically gifted, loved school and held a special interest in math and history, especially Greek and Roman history, as well as American WWII era history. He was a true patriot. Alex loved everything “America” and had aspirations to be a United States Army soldier.

He led a very active life challenging himself every day to be better both physically and spiritually. Wise beyond his years, Alex loved everyone, yet wasn’t concerned with impressing the world. Sometimes this trait made him look nerdy, but if he was having fun and making others laugh, he couldn’t care less what the world thought.

Alex was a very respectful teenager, always replying with yes ma’am and no ma’am, or yes sir and no sir. He had a gentle spirit and loved his parents, hugging them and reading his Bible every night before bed, giving random hugs just because, and telling them he loved them multiple times a day.

Alex is survived by his parents, John and Wendy Clukey; his brothers, Andrew and Abram; grandparents, Keith, Sr. Baker and Gloria Baker and Ed Pelser and Mary Ann Pelser; his aunts and uncles, Miho Clukey, David Clukey, Sr., Daniel Clukey, Eddie Pelser, Tiffiny Pelser, William Clukey, Sr., Keith Baker, Jr., Tracy Borja, Ruben Borja, David Pacheco, Amanda Pacheco, Joyce Bullins, Rachel Conklin and Linda Batchelor; and several other family members and friends.

We know, without a doubt, that Alex wanted to provide the gift of life to others with his body as an organ donor, as his spirit walked through the gates of heaven to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
